Daimler Truck announced on Tuesday that its revenue for the first quarter of 2022 amounted to €10.6 billion. marking a 16% increase from the same period a year earlier.
Net profit plunged 80% to €275 million, or €0.31 per share, while EBIT stood at €461 million, down from €1.7 billion reported a year earlier. Adjusted EBIT climbed 11% year on year to €651 million. Group sales rose from 101,00 units in the first quarter of 2021 to 109,000 united this year.
"Our positive Q1 results prove that we are fit to stay on course also in a more uncertain environment. We remain fully committed to the ambitions we have set for 2025 and we feel confident to achieve our targets for 2022," CFO Jochen Goetz stated.
