The Democratic fundraising platform ActBlue celebrated its "biggest fundraising day of the 2024 cycle" after United States President Joe Biden dropped out of the country's presidential race and endorsed Vice President Kamal Harris as the Democratic nominee.
"As of 9pm ET, grassroots supporters have raised $46.7 million through ActBlue following Vice President Kamala Harris’ campaign launch," the group announced on X, formerly Twitter, hailing the amount.
"Small-dollar donors are fired up and ready to take on this election," the group added in the post. Additionally, soon after Biden announced that he was dropping out of the race, the platform's website was updated to note that donations would benefit Harris.
