Democratic United States Senator Kyrsten Sinema (pictured) has agreed to move forward with the deal that addresses climate change, taxes, health care and the energy crisis, which the party plans to pass without Republican support.
"We have agreed to remove the carried interest tax provision, protect advanced manufacturing, and boost our clean energy economy in the Senate's budget reconciliation legislation," Sinema stated. "Subject to the parliamentarian’s review, I'll move forward."
The measure, titled the Inflation Reduction Act, is up for a vote in the Senate next week where the Democrats are seeking to send the bill to the president's desk with a simple majority using the reconciliation process in order to bypass the filibuster.
