Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen said on Wednesday that her government will propose to the Parliament of Denmark a military aid package to Ukraine of almost €1 billion.
The aid includes tanks, drones, ammunition intended to meet Kiev's immediate needs, as well as F-16 fighter jets.
The move comes after Russia warned NATO countries not to arm Ukraine. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has stated that any cargo containing weapons for Ukraine would be a legitimate target for Russia.
