The Danish Ministry of Defense announced on Tuesday that it is donating a total of 5.8 billion Danish kroner ($833 million) in military aid to Ukraine. The package, funded by the Ukraine Foundation and international partners, includes tanks, infantry fighting vehicles, tank ammunition, and anti-aircraft weapons for Ukraine's military defense.
"With today's donation package, we are moving into a new phase. After more than a year and a half of war, we will soon have emptied the Armed Forces' stockpiles. Therefore, we are now looking into more targeted joint procurement and international collaborations that are tailored to Ukraine's needs here and now,” Minister for Foreign Affairs Lars Lokke Rasmussen (pictured) stated.
Recently, Denmark contributed 10 Leopard 1 tanks and commenced pilot training on F16 fighter jets manufactured in the United States. It also declared its preparedness to supply F-16 fighter jets to Ukraine.
