Danish acting Defense Minister Troels Lund Poulsen (pictured) said on Monday that the country started training Ukrainian pilots on American-made F16 fighter jets.
Lund Poulsen stressed that the training is taking place in Denmark and will last six to eight months, after which Copenhagen could donate F-16 planes to Kiev. "We will also consider whether we should make a concrete donation to Ukraine of the Danish F-16 fighters, and how many there should be," the official stressed and noted the planes will definitely be in Denmark until 2024.
Earlier this month, Denmark announced it will provide Ukraine with military support worth 21.9 billion Danish kroner ($3.21 billion) over the next five years and pointed out it is ready to donate fighter jets.
