Denmark's Defense Ministry said in a written statement on Friday that the country's government, along with the majority of parties in parliament, has agreed to provide Ukraine with further support of $3.44 billion in 2025-2027.
In addition to this aid package, Ukraine will receive another $337 million in 2023. Acting Danish Defense Minister Troels Lund Poulsen said that with the additional aid, both in 2023 and in the coming years, "we are sending a clear signal that the Ukrainians in the long term can count on Danish support."
According to the statement, funds equivalent to 2% of the GDP have been allocated for Ukraine's defense and security for 2023 and 2024. Earlier, it was reported that the first F-16 fighter jets would be handed over to Ukraine in early 2024.
