Didi halts food delivery business in Japan

DiDi Global Inc. announced on Thursday that it is halting its food delivery business activity in Japan, which is seen as a sign of withdrawal as it prepares for a US delisting.

According to the company, they took the decision based on the "local market conditions," and now they "will focus" on their "taxi-hailing services in the country."

As early as December, the company announced that it would start a process of delisting from the New York Stock Exchange.
