JPMorgan Chase & Co. Chairman and CEO Jamie Dimon said on Wednesday speaking at the New York Times Dealbook Summit that he believes additional interest rate increases are still possible. He also noted that he thinks the possibility of a soft economic landing will be lower and will not meet the expectations.
Commenting on the upcoming elections in the United States, Dimon confirmed having discussions with the former Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley as an alternative to Donald Trump and a future Republican presidential candidate. He noted that "clearly a vote for her is a vote for change," adding that she has the Wall Street vote.
Dimon concluded by saying "Whoever is president, I will do my best to help the president for the good of the American people."
