Discovery, WarnerMedia finalize $43B merger - report

AT&T Inc. and Discovery, Inc. have finalized the $43 billion deal that will merge Discovery with WarnerMedia, the firms informed Axios on Friday via an internal memo.

According to the report, the newly created Warner Bros. Discovery becomes one of the most significant competitors in the United States entertainment industry, alongside The Walt Disney Company and Netflix, Inc.

It was also noted that Discovery president and CEO David Zaslav will take the leading role in the new company.
