Disney sues Gov DeSantis over 'political efforts' to hurt business

Walt Disney Parks and Resorts filed a lawsuit against Florida Governor Ron DeSantis for allegedly using his "political efforts" to harm the company's business, CNBC reported Wednesday.

The division of the media and entertainment conglomerate is alleging the Republican governor has waged a "relentless campaign to weaponize government power" over the company. Besides, it states that DeSantis' stance "now threatens Disney's business operations, jeopardizes its economic future in the region, and violates its constitutional rights."

The lawsuit adds to the already dramatic and protracted feud between DeSantis, a potential Republican candidate for the 2024 election, and Disney, Florida's biggest employer.
