Djokovic, Nadal could meet in second round at Olympics

Former world number ones, Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal, could face each other in the second round of the Paris Olympics tennis tournament if they beat their first-round opponents.

After the draw for the tournament took place on Thursday, Djokovic, who became the top seed after Jannik Sinner pulled out, learned he will play Australia's Matthew Ebden in his opening match. Meanwhile, Nadal will face Hungary's Marton Fucsovics. Another former number one, Andy Murray, who is set to retire after the Olympics, withdrew from the singles event but is still planning to compete alongside Daniel Evans in the doubles.

On the women's side, top seed Iga Swiatek will face Romania's Irina-Camelia Begu, while second seed Coco Gauff will start her campaign against Australian Ajla Tomljanovic.
