DoJ allegedly moves to drop charges against NYC mayor

Emil Bove, a top United States Justice Department official, supposedly instructed the US Attorney's Office for the Southern District of New York to seek for charges to be dropped against New York City Mayor Eric Adams, Politico reported, citing a person familiar with the letter.

If a judge approves the dismissal of all five counts against Adams, he will be spared the possibility of any jail time. He was scheduled to stand trial on federal corruption charges starting on April 21.
