The United States Department of Justice (DoJ) is supposedly set to file an antitrust lawsuit against Live Nation Entertainment next month, The Wall Street Journal reported on Monday, citing people familiar with the matter.

The DoJ's lawsuit would allege that the country's largest concert promoter abused its position to undermine the competition for ticketing events. Live Nation's Executive Vice President for Corporate and Regulatory Affairs Dan Wall wrote on the company's website last month in a bid to defend the promoter against accusations that it is a monopoly.

The news agency could not learn the specific claims the DoJ would allege.
