Doctolib worth €5.8B after latest funding round

French medical services startup Doctolib raised €500 million in its latest funding round, CEO Stanislas Niox-Chateau (pictured) said on Tuesday. The company is now worth around €5.8 billion and has become the biggest unicorn in France, surpassing Back Market, according to BFMTV.

Niox-Chateau stated Doctolib will create 3,500 jobs in the next five years in 30 cities in France, Germany and Italy, with 700 positions already open this year. He added the firm's platform is used by 60 million Europeans for services such as online appointment booking and teleconsultations, as well as by 300,000 healthcare professionals.
