The United States dollar tumbled against the Japanese yen on Wednesday, with the currency going below the ¥154 mark.
With the recent trajectory of the Japanese currency, once again, rumors arose that the country's government might have intervened, as the Federal Reserve announced it would keep its key interest rate unchanged at between 5.25% and 5.50%. On Monday, there were reports that this already happened.
The dollar nosedived 2.45% against the yen at 4:40 pm ET, going for 153.8850.
