Donnery appointed to ECB supervisory board

The European Central Bank (ECB) announced on Thursday it appointed Sharon Donnery as the ECB representative to the bank's Supervisory Board.

"With extensive experience as a Deputy Governor at the @centralbank_ie [Central Bank of Ireland], Sharon will be instrumental in helping us keep the banking system safe for European citizens and our economy," the ECB said in a post on X.

Donnery held several posts at the Central Bank of Ireland since joining it in 1996. She has been the institution's deputy governor since 2016 and briefly served as its acting governor in 2019.
