DoorDash Inc. announced on Tuesday that it reached an agreement to acquire New York City-based restaurant technology company SevenRooms in an all-cash transaction for approximately $1.2 billion. The deal is expected to be closed in the second half of 2025.
"We're enhancing the DoorDash Commerce Platform to help merchants serve their customers across all channels," DoorDash's Vice President for Strategy and Operations, Parisa Sadrzadeh, stated. "With SevenRooms, we're excited to give local businesses around the globe new ways to bring more guests in the door, build and grow direct relationships with their customers, access best-in-class CRM, and drive profitability through smarter marketing," she added.
The company announced the acquisition along with its financial results for the first quarter of fiscal 2025, after it previously revealed it had agreed to buy the British food delivery company Deliveroo for £2.9 billion.
