The Dow Jones Industrial Average and the S&P 500 turned to losses on Tuesday after starting the trading session in the green territory ahead of United States President Joe Biden's speech on the current state of the country's economy.
Meanwhile, US Director of National Intelligence Avril Haines asserted that Russian President Vladimir Putin is "preparing for prolonged conflict in Ukraine" and "still intends to achieve goals beyond the Donbass."
The Dow declined by 0.26% at 11:13 am ET. At the same moment, the S&P 500 declined by 0.25%. Meanwhile, the Nasdaq 100 traded 0.14% higher. The euro lost 0.27% to the dollar to sell for $1.05331.
