The Dow Jones Industrial Average slipped into the red on Tuesday after starting the session 300 points higher. The Nasdaq 100 and the S&P 500 cut gains but remained in positive territory following the latest producer prices report that signaled inflation could be slowing.
The Dow Jones fell 0.45% or 151 points at 2:08 pm ET. The worst performer was UnitedHealth, whose shares fell 2.07%.
The Nasdaq 100 rose 0.63% at 2:09 pm ET as Datalog and NetEase both soared more than 9%.
The S&P 500 added 0.26% at 2:09 pm ET. SVB Financial Group led the gains, rallying over 9%.
The euro lost 0.23% against the dollar to sell for 1.03054 at 2:11 pm ET.
