Dow turns to losses after Canada retaliates with tariffs

After opening Wednesday's session higher, the Dow Jones went below the line following Canada's decision to impose 25% tariffs on goods from the United States in response to Washington's previously introduced economic measures.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average went down 0.76% or 300 points at 10:52 am ET, while the Nasdaq 100 traded 0.69% in the green at the same time, and the S&P 500 was flat. The euro was 0.11% lower against the dollar to go for 1.09073 a minute later.
