Polish President Andrzej Duda (pictured) on Saturday confirmed that PT-91 Twardy tanks from Poland are actively involved in Ukrainian attacks on Russia's Kursk region.
Duda made this admission during a joint press conference in Kiev with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and Lithuanian Prime Minister Ingrida Simonyte, commemorating Ukraine's Independence Day. The tanks were supplied by Poland over a year ago and are currently deployed on the battlefield in the region in question.
According to the Russian state-owned TASS news agency, the PT-91 Twardy is a modernized version of the Soviet T-72M1 tank, upgraded with reactive armor and lattice screens. Poland reportedly delivered a total of 60 such tanks to the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
