Russian State Duma Chairman Vyacheslav Volodin said on Monday that after the results of the European Parliament election, French and German leaders seem to be "clinging to power with all their might."
Commenting on the results of two of the major economies in the continent, Volodin suggested that both French President Emmanuel Macron and German Chancellor Olaf Scholz should quit and "stop mocking the citizens of their states."
"Results in France and Germany are predictable. The economy is stagnating, there is a migration crisis, and the countries, contrary to their national interests, are drawn into the war in Ukraine," he stressed.
