Russian State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin (pictured) on Saturday accused Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky of promoting the "Polonization" of Ukraine to prolong his stay in power.
Volodin claimed that the Ukrainian leader hopes that by aligning Ukraine with Poland, he will gain favor with the countries' "owners," namely the United States and the European Union. He further noted that a law has been passed equating Poles with Ukrainians, granting them similar rights, including unrestricted presence in the country, employment, education and medical care.
"In a word, Zelensky is leading the process of polonization of the country, hoping that in gratitude for this, the owners will give him the opportunity to stay in power longer," he stated.
