Dutch Prime Minister Dick Schoof (pictured) slammed on Friday the attacks on the supporters of Israel's Maccabi Tel Aviv F.C. in Amsterdam as anti-Semitic and unacceptable.

"I am in close contact with all parties involved and have just spoken to @IsraeliPM Netanyahu [Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu] by phone to stress that the perpetrators will be identified and prosecuted," Schoof tweeted.

The incident occurred following a football match between Maccabi and AFC Ajax when a group of rioters attacked the former club's fans while shouting "free Palestine." The Israeli Foreign Ministry later confirmed that ten people were injured on that occasion.
