The Dutch Foreign Ministry announced the closure of its embassy in Tehran on Sunday as a precautionary measure.
The decision was made to ensure the safety of embassy personnel amidst the escalating situation. The ministry stated that a decision regarding the reopening of the embassy would be made on Sunday, depending on the developments in the region.
The statement coincides with heightened tensions after a suspected Israeli strike on the Iranian consulate in Damascus, Syria, resulting in the deaths of seven Iranian Revolutionary Guard members, including two high-ranking generals.
