European Central Bank Vice President Luis de Guindos stated on Tuesday that the ECB needs to normalize its monetary policy approach "sooner rather than later."
De Guindos also noted that at this point market fragmentation should be viewed and tackled separately from inflation.
On May 1, de Guindos stated that interest rates in the Eurozone will not "likely" be raised in July. Still, he noted that "there's no reason why" the ECB's asset purchase program shouldn't end during that month.
