EIA expects Brent to reach $91 per barrel by 2050

The United States Energy Information Administration (EIA) said on Tuesday in its Annual Energy Outlook that the Brent spot price is expected to reach $91 per barrel in 2049, and remain at that level through 2050. As of 2025, the Brent crude price is estimated to average $72 per barrel.

Meanwhile, the West Texas Intermediate (WTI) spot price is projected to be at $89 per barrel in 2049 and 2050, while the price of $68 per barrel is projected for 2025.

Additionally, the agency expects energy consumption in the US to decline in the coming years and start increasing in the early 2040s, stressing that energy consumption in 2050 is projected to be lower than in 2024.

EIA: US natural gas inventories up by 88 Bcf
Working gas storage across the United States observed a weekly rise of 88 billion cubic feet (Bcf) to reach 1,934 Bcf in the week ending April 18, the Energy Information Administration (EIA) revealed in its report published on Thursday.The stocks declined by 478 Bcf compared to the same period a year ago and remained 44 Bcf below the five-year average of 1,978 Bcf. Total working gas was within the five-year historical range.
