Natural gas in storage across the United States stood at 3,112 billion cubic feet in the week ending December 23, the Energy Information Administration (EIA) revealed in its report published on Thursday.
The figure marks a net decrease of 213 billion cubic feet compared to the week prior.
On an annual basis, the natural gas stockpiles fell by 133 billion cubic feet and were 85 billion cubic feet below the five-year average of 3,197 billion cubic feet. The total working gas remained within the five-year historical range.
