Working natural gas storage in the United States decreased by 258 billion cubic feet in the week ending January 10 compared to the week prior, reaching 3,115 billion cubic feet, the Energy Information Administration (EIA) published on Thursday showed.
Viewed annually the figure dropped by 111 billion cubic feet. At the same time, the stockpiles stood 77 billion cubic feet above the five-year average of 3,038 billion cubic feet. Total working gas remains within the five-year historical range.
