EU's stance on investment strategies is wrong - China FM

China's Foreign Ministry spokesperson Wang Wenbin (pictured) criticized on Thursday the European Union's stance on Beijing's Belt and Road Initiative, adding that different investment strategies should "advocate inclusiveness and coordination."

During a regular press conference, Wenbin welcomed the bloc's Global Gateway plan, stressing that all initiatives aimed at helping the developing countries can be viewed as a positive development.

European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen praised the EU's strategy the day before and described it as "a true alternative" to China's strategic plan to invest.
