EU, US discuss tariffs, Ukraine support in cordial talks

European Trade Commissioner Valdis Dombrovskis announced on Friday that his meeting with United States Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent was cordial. He stressed that both parties discussed tariffs and macroeconomic policies.

"We compared notes on the impact of US tariffs. The EU is willing to reach a mutually agreeable solution," Dombrovskis said in a social media post on X.

Furthermore, the EU commissioner highlighted the significance of sound fiscal and macroeconomic policies, stressing the necessity for ongoing support for Ukraine.
