EU industry to benefit from Alstom, Bombardier deal - Le Maire

French Finance Minister Bruno le Maire said on Monday the country's government will make sure that the European rail industry benefits from the recently signed deal between Alstom SA and Bombardier Inc.

Le Maire added that before the acquisition is finalized, it will have to be submitted to antitrust regulators for approval.

French rail transport company Alstom signed today a Memorandum of Understanding with the Canadian firm as part of the Bombardier Transportation acquisition deal worth around €6 billion.
