EU seeks DSA compliance info from TikTok, YouTube

The European Commission sent on Thursday a request for information to TikTok and YouTube, asking them to detail the measures they have taken to comply with the Digital Services Act (DSA). Specifically, the Commission said it is looking for measures to protect minors using the two social networks.

The deadline is set for November 30, after which the Commission will "assess next steps," which could include the formal opening of proceedings. It warned that it could impose fines under the DSA for "incorrect, incomplete, or misleading information," as well as periodic penalty payments if the companies do not provide the information by the deadline.
