European Commissioner for Economy Paolo Gentiloni said on Friday that the Commission will reveal next week a scheme to help companies affected by the ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine. He warned the program will not be as extensive as the COVID-19 support and will be aimed at "particularly affected" businesses.
Gentiloni stated the scheme will be approved for "energy-intensive" companies or those that are "particularly affected by the increase in the prices of some commodities" whose supply has been disrupted by the hostilities.
