European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen noted on Monday that the European Union will begin distributing €18 billion to Ukraine in monthly installments as previously announced in October.
Von der Leyen reiterated the bloc's support to Kiev "against brutal aggression" in the first telephone conversation this year with Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelensky, expressing optimism of meeting again with the Ukraine's head of state in his country.
"We are supporting you through this winter with generators, light bulbs, shelters, school buses. And we continue our strong financial assistance," von der Leyen wrote on her Twitter page.
