Earnings preview: Asian companies in spotlight

While a large number of big names have already published their quarterly figures, the week ahead still promises some excitement on the earnings front. Asian companies will be especially busy throughout the week. SoftBank is scheduled to release its report on Tuesday, followed by Tencent on Wednesday, Foxconn, JD.com and Tencent Music on Thursday, and Lenovo and Alibaba on Friday.

In addition to Asian giants, investors can look forward to earnings from Bayer, AstraZeneca, Home Depot and Spotify on Tuesday. They will be followed by RWE, Allianz and Cisco on Wednesday, and Deutsche Telekom, Siemens, E.ON and Disney on Thursday. Disney is posting figures for its fourth quarter as well as its full-year results, with analysts expecting Q4 earnings per share to jump 33% to $1.10 and revenue to land between $22.4 billion and $22.6 billion.
