EasyJet PLC announced on Thursday that its total revenue in the first half of the fiscal year 2024 stood at £3.27 billion, jumping 22% year on year. The company's revenue from passengers saw an annual increase of 17% in the reported six-month period, standing at £2.04 billion.
The Group also reduced its headline loss before tax to £350 million from £411 million seen in the corresponding timeframe a year before. The carrier added that it expects its holiday revenue to improve to £170 million this year, marking a 40% annual jump.
"EasyJet's targeted growth and focus on productivity has delivered a reduction in winter losses, boosted by our trusted brand and network that we continue to invest in," Chief Executive Officer Johan Lundgren said. Lundgren also shared that he will step down from his position early next year and named the company's Chief Financial Officer Kenton Jarvis as his successor.
