EasyJet PLC announced on Wednesday that its total revenue in the first quarter of the fiscal year 2025 rose by 13% in comparison to the same period the year before to come in at £2 billion. Its revenue from passengers went up by 11% on an annual level to stand at £1.3 billion.
The number of travelers increased by 7% in contrast with the same trimester in 2024 to reach 21.2 million. Meanwhile, the percentage of capacity flown rose by 2% to 88% of the one operated in 2024.
"easyJet performed well in the quarter reducing Q1 losses by 52% year on year while flying 7% more customers to an even greater choice of destinations across the network. easyJet holidays continued its growth, achieving around a 40% increase in profits during the period," the company's Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Kenton Jarvis noted.
