Eni S.p.A. announced on Thursday that its net profit in the fourth quarter of fiscal 2024 rose by 43% year-on-year to reach €247 million.
The Italian energy company's sales from operations in the reported quarter dropped by 4.6% from the same quarter in the previous year to €23.5 billion, while its total revenues stood at €24B, a 4% increase from the fourth quarter in 2023. The operating loss was at €363 million, compared to the operating profit of $856 million in the previous year, and earnings per diluted share climbed by 40% to €0.07 per share.
For the full year 2024, the company's net profit attributable to its shareholders was at €2.6 billion, falling by 45% from 2023, while its earnings per diluted share dropped by 43.6% to €0.79 per share.
