Epic Games announced on Friday it launched its own app store on Android across the world, as well as on iOS devices in the European Union.
Epic Games Store became one of the first third-party app stores on iOS thanks to the EU's Digital Markets Act (DMA), which required Apple not to limit people in the EU to downloading apps only from its App Store.
The game maker said its hit games, including Fortnite and Fall Guys will be available on the Epic Games Store. Still, the company slammed Apple and Google for complicating the download of its store app. "It takes a number of steps to download the Epic Games Store, which was an intentional design choice by Apple and Google to make it hard to download competing app stores and apps," Epic Games said and provided detailed instructions on how to get its store.
