Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan revealed on Monday he had a "cordial" phone call with his United States counterpart Donald Trump during which they discussed the removal of "all trade obstacles."
Erdogan stated many important issues were discussed while expressing Ankara's readiness to further develop relations with the US. The talks with the US president, Erdogan said, were in the context of Turkey's goal of achieving the $100 billion trade volume target with the US.
"It is quite possible that Turkish-American relations will gain a different momentum in Mr. Trump's second term," Erdogan noted.
