Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan insisted on Tuesday that Israel will be held accountable for "every drop of blood it shed."

"The Zionist regime has once again shown with its brutal attacks on Gaza last night that it is a terror state that feeds on the blood and tears of innocents," Erdogan stated at the National Defense University in Ankara. Furthermore, he said that Turkey will ramp up its efforts to stop Israeli "massacre" and restore peace in the Gaza Strip.

Last night, Israel resumed strikes on Hamas in Gaza, killing more than 400 Palestinians, including women and children, according to the Hamas-controlled Health Ministry.
