Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan stated on Monday that the development of relations between Russia and Turkey is "pleasing," adding that the two countries will continue to maintain a "high level" dialogue.
In a phone conversation with his Russian colleague, Erdogan said Turkey and Russia will also continue to discuss important issues in the region and the world.
The two leaders last met in July while attending the 24th annual summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) in Kazakhstan's capital Astana.
