Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan told reporters that plans for resettling Gazans to other countries put forward by United States President Donald Trump "have nothing worth discussing."

Erdogan said such plans were made public under pressure from the "Zionist lobby" according to Anadolu Agency. "This plan is completely futile…No one has the power to remove the people of Gaza from their homeland. The people of Gaza will continue to stay in Gaza, live in Gaza and protect Gaza," Turkey's leader explained.

He also spoke about the situation in Syria and reiterated Ankara's support for the neighboring country's new president Ahmed al-Sharaa. "There is no place for terrorist organizations in Syria. The struggle that Mr. Shara is currently waging there is a struggle against terrorist organizations," he concluded.
