Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan (pictured left) said in a call with Russian President Vladimir Putin (right) on Friday that Turkey is ready to provide "all kinds of support" to end the war between Russia and Ukraine, including hosting peace negotiations. Erdogan praised Moscow's steps toward rejoining the Black Sea Grain Initiative and noted that Turkey continues to contribute to the deal.
Erdogan also stressed the importance of cooperation with Russia "to ensure that Syria achieves lasting peace and stability based on its territorial integrity," according to his office. He added that "Syria's resources should be left to the Syrian administration" and that Turkey and Russia can work to boost the country's unity, curb ethnic and sectarian discrimination, and end international sanctions against Syria.
