The euro dropped on Tuesday, plunging to a low unseen since April 2022 compared to the British pound. Worries regarding the euro area persist, with growth remaining weak in the third quarter and an uncertain medium-term outlook, dragged down by a contracting manufacturing sector. Investor confidence also suffered, dropping to its lowest point in over a year.
The euro fell 0.27% against the pound at 11:27 am CET, selling for 0.82537. It lost 0.15% versus the dollar to go for 1.05332.
