The euro declined on Tuesday to its weakest level against the United States dollar since mid-June. The greenback continued to advance against multiple other global currencies as traders seemingly expected the US Federal Reserve to maintain a restrictive monetary policy stance for longer.
The euro lost 0.43% to the dollar, selling for 1.08494 at 5:29 pm CET. The Eurozone currency declined 0.27% against the British pound, trading at 0.85207 at the same time minutes after landing at a low last seen in mid-July.
