British Prime Minister Dominic Raab attacked on Sunday United Kingdom Foreign Secretary Liz Truss for her comments on the way Rishi Sunak, Former Chancellor of the Exchequer, performed in his last role.
''She can answer for her policies and her when she was chief secretary of the Treasury. People can see whether spending and headcount in the civil service went up or down. There’s not just Rishi who is going to be accountable for what he’s done in the face of a massive pandemic,'' Raab told Sky News, adding that she did not cut taxes as well.
Previously, Truss claimed that the country has seen low economic growth for decades, after which she promised to implement the biggest changes that the UK has seen in the last thirty years, emphasizing she will work on tax cuts. The favorite candidate to take office as a new prime minister, Sunak, described her promises as a ''fairytale,'' and has claimed he will work on tackling inflation, rather than putting an emphasis on tax cuts.
