Major European stock indexes closed the Monday session with losses after the Bundesbank revealed that the German economy might have a weaker-than-expected recovery in 2023. This week, data on both the Eurozone and the United Kingdom's consumer prices will be revealed.
The DAX fell 0.23% at the closing bell, with Vonovia down 2.14%. At the same time, the CAC 40 tumbled 1.12% and the Euro Stoxx 50 finished with a 0.98% loss. Hermes was the worst performer on both indexes, sliding 4.21%. The FTSE 100 decreased 0.38% at the close, as Coca-Cola HBC plunged 4.19%.
The euro traded 0.07% above the dollar at 5:32 pm CET, selling for 1.12361. The pound edged down 0.08% against the greenback to go for 1.30820 simultaneously.
